Days of our Lives has put out a casting call for a "smart and drop-dead gorgeous" African American female role.
The character, currently being referred to as "Maya," is a 25-to-30-year-old woman who is described as "a confident, dedicated professional" with a sensitive side.
This is a contract role, but it will be many, many months before Maya shows up in Salem. The role won't begin taping until late November or early December. Based on Days of our Lives' production schedule, the character won't appear until around May 2015.
